As principal of Artemisia Garden Design, Kersten Orr has passionately devoted the past 19 years to creating beautiful and functional gardens. In addition to extensive hands-on experience, Kersten earned both a Degree in Fine Arts as well as a Certificate in Garden Design from UBC. Kersten and her team have worked with a variety of clients, from residential to municipal, throughout the Lower Mainland.
Whether it's modern, rustic, English country or strictly native species, we build contemporary gardens that transform urban spaces into outdoor retreats customized to your unique individual aesthetic.
The first step is an initial consultation where we meet in the garden to discuss the site potential and limitations as well as the client's objectives. This process enables us to envision the concept plan.

When an understanding of site specifics is established then a rough layout of garden beds, pathways, water features or pergolas can be drawn.
Once the details are arrived at with the client, the drawing can be refined. Depending on the complexity of the garden, a concept plan may be all that is required.
